About CMC
The International Conference on Corporate and Marketing Communications (CMC) brings together academics, doctoral researchers, and practitioners working across corporate and marketing communications. Each edition, a different host university welcomes the CMC community to share new research, receive feedback from leading scholars, and meet the editors of the field's journals.
The conference was founded in 1996 by Prof. Dr. Philip J. Kitchen, who organized and chaired the first edition in Keele, UK. Since then it has travelled across Europe, with editions in Cyprus, Italy, Spain, Austria, and the United Kingdom, and it is closely linked with the Journal of Marketing Communications. In April 2027, the 30th edition comes to Cairo, hosted by the German International University (GIU).

Intelligent Consumer Trends
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming marketing communication, moving beyond automation and content generation toward increasingly intelligent systems that influence how consumers discover, evaluate, and interact with brands. CMC30 moves beyond the question that defined the previous AI-focused agenda—what can AI do for marketing?—to a more fundamental one: what is AI changing about the relationship between brands, consumers, and communication itself?
We welcome research examining AI-mediated consumer journeys, generative and agentic AI, AI-enabled personalization, algorithmic trust, consumer–AI relationships, virtual influencers and synthetic actors, creator–brand–consumer ecosystems, AI-generated advertising, authenticity and disclosure, privacy and data ethics, new commerce and media environments, and the changing boundaries between human and machine communication.
