Intelligent Consumer Trends

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming marketing communication, moving beyond automation and content generation toward increasingly intelligent systems that influence how consumers discover, evaluate, and interact with brands.

The 30th International Conference on Corporate and Marketing Communications invites submissions exploring “Intelligent Consumer Trends” and the ways in which AI and emerging commerce infrastructures are reshaping corporate and marketing communication. The conference moves beyond the question that defined the previous AI-focused agenda—what can AI do for marketing? to a more fundamental question: what is AI changing about the relationship between brands, consumers, and communication itself?

We also welcome contributions from both corporate and consumer perspectives, examining the changing relationship between brands, consumers, and intelligent technologies, including but not limited to:

Submission guidelines

The conference will consider theoretical and empirical papers, working papers, extended abstracts, and doctoral colloquium submissions for review. Full papers are preferred, but abstracts can also be submitted by 15 January 2027. All submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Committee.

Upon acceptance, authors agree to:

  1. Return the manuscript (abstract) in the correct format and time to be included in the conference proceedings.
  2. Have at least one author present the manuscript at the conference, registered by 10 March 2027.
  3. Submit a maximum of two manuscripts per presenter.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Competitive Paper and Best Working Paper, judged by a panel of experts. The Best Competitive Paper will be considered for publication in the Journal of Marketing Communications, subject to editorial review. All competitive papers accepted for the conference will also be reviewed by the JMC Editor for publication consideration.

Meet the Editor & PhD Researchers sessions

A series of “Meet the Editor” sessions offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading experts, gain insight into the academic publication process, and receive guidance on strengthening research for submission to top-tier journals. A dedicated PhD Researchers session lets PhD candidates present papers, proposals, and working papers to senior academics for constructive feedback.

Special issue

Special issues associated with the conference will give selected contributors the opportunity to develop and publish their research in leading academic journals. The special issue will be featured in the Journal of Marketing Communications. Further details on participating journal(s), submission process, timelines, and selection criteria will be announced later.
